School Studies Maine Native Americans
A study this fall of the students of North Star Christian School has focused on Maine Native Americans. Included in the study has been the construction of a wigwam, using all natural supplies collected by the students. The students also cooked a meal over a campfire and visited the L.C. Bates Museum for a program on Maine Native Americans.
North Star Christian School is a state approved school where students receive individual attention in a loving and encouraging environment. Students are challenged academically while opportunities for character development abound. The students spend as much time as possible outside in nature. They also have art, music, foreign language, a greenhouse, an annual science fair, and regular community service activities.
