        History Comes Alive in Veazie!

   Do you know your history?  Mrs. Hileman and Mrs. Estes' 5th grade class at the Veazie Community School sure does!  They're doing their annual history fair now.  Every kid in the class picks a subject from American history, reads a book on it, and does a book and research report. Finally, for  the day of the fair they make a posterboard display and dress-up like a character from their book.  Kids choose topics like the Chicago Fire, Japanese Internment Camps, all kinds of wars, the Yellow Fever Epidemic, the Underground Railroad, sports history, child labor and a lot more!

    To check in on your history, the 5th grade class will be presenting their projects on June 5th from 6 to 7 pm at the Veazie Community School.  It'll be a great way to learn more about what happened back in the old days of our country.
