Painting Downeast's Barrens
Painting Downeast's Blueberry Barrens by Steuben artist Sarah Brandon is the featured work at Chapter Two in Corea through July. Traveling through the stunning landscapes of coastal Maine where she lives, Sarah finds the visual stimulation that inspires her work. The Blueberry barrens of Washington County serve as the subject for her most recent series of paintings. The acrylic on canvas pieces are minimalist landscapes, many of which feature imagery of structures and communicate her recurring theme of home. Sarah's works are personal interpretations that communicate the iconography of Maine's landscape. Chapter Two is at 611 Corea Road, Corea and is open all year from 11 - 4 every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 11-4 daily July thru Sept.
