Farewell Rabbit Ears
I am pleased to announce that the silver, tin foil-tipped, awkwardly bent rabbit ears that have been a decorative staple in my living room will no longer be needed by the time I get home.
While living in a rural area has its perks, there are some drawbacks. Fortunately, with the help of my satellite company, I got rid of one of the downsides this morning and hopefully will be antenna-free tonight.
For more than a year the process to watch local channels at our house has been a pain to say the least. For some of you, the process may sound familiar.
The Man on the Couch and I would have to get out of our cozy seats, unscrew the dish wire, plug in the ancient monstrosities fondly referred to as rabbit ears, and play with the antennas until whatever show we wanted to watch came in with the least amount of "snow" possible.
For just $5 a month, I have added local TV land to our abundant list of channels (of which we probably watch a handful on a regular basis) so the Man on the Couch can enjoy current episodes of "CSI" and "Law & Order," and it's no longer snowing in my local reality realm.
