Where are some great places to eat?

We will be visiting the Bangor area in December for a few days to see if we should continue on our quest of moving to Maine from California. My family and I are very excited about our upcoming trip.

Can anyone suggest some great places to eat?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

great dining in Bangor

Bangor has some fantastic spots to dine. Yes, Perrihouse is also one
of our favorites. The place is very relaxing. It's our go-to date nate
spot. Paddy Murphys is a great pub for lighter fare. They sometimes
have live music on the weekends. We love to lunch at Cafe Noveau. Its
also fun to pick up wine for dinner on your way out at Bangor Wine and
Cheese owned by the same lady. There is a new Italian place called
Massimous that just opened up. It has some great pasta dishes. Now if
we could just find an upscale breakfast/brunch spot.

dining in bangor

Just dined at Perrihouse for the first time and it was great.  Have been to Opus only once and won't go back.  Bangor is such a corporate restaurant town. It needs more locally owned establishments. Us as customers need to support the mom and pop places.

Good to know...

I am hoping to open my own small restaurant in Bangor or nearby when I finally move there. I am currently working on different concepts and designs. I have not decided on what type of eating establishment just yet. I need to know the area a little better before making up my mind. Any suggestions would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
